Dear Weedfighter:

Greetings, and thank you for choosing Biological Control of Weeds, Inc. as your supplier for weed-feeding insects. For over 30 years we have been the leading producers of beneficial weed-feeding insects in the United States. We will work very hard to satisfy your needs. Whether you desire the latest scientific information on a specific bio-control agent, need a particular bug shipped on a certain date, or have questions on which insects are best for controlling your weeds, we will do whatever it takes to earn your satisfaction. We are here to serve you!

Our personal motivation in being in this unique field of scientific and commercial activity is to control your weeds with the least toxic methods available. Often this is biological control. Noah Poritz has a Master of Science degree in Entomology and over thirty years of professional experience in biological weed control. Leona Poritz has a background in business and many years of hands-on experience working with weed-feeding insects. Together with our permanent and seasonal staff, we know that our greatest contribution is to supply you with the insects and information you need to get these weeds under control.

It may come as no surprise to you that our most satisfied customers are those who have spent many years and considerable amounts of money in chemical control activities. Those customers know first hand the limitations of herbicides and they desire bio-control as an alternative. They know that their weed problem did not get there overnight and it takes time to suppress these weeds to a manageable level. They realize that by getting insects out there feeding and reproducing on their weeds they will begin to enjoy benefits of one of the lowest cost weed control methods available. They have learned that once an insect is established and feeding on its host plant, no additional expenditures are required. Our customers have found it very satisfying to go out into their fields and observe first hand the damage that these insects are capable of inflecting.

Ranchers, county weed control personnel, state and federal land managers and others like yourself have come to rely on BCW as a clearinghouse on bio-control information. When you have questions, we do our best to provide the most up-to-date information available. We understand that providing you with knowledge is just one step in the process. In order to make decisions you need information. We provide that at no charge!

Our insects are carefully field collected, precisely identified and counted, then packaged and shipped by overnight delivery. In this way we guarantee that you will receive healthy, vigorous bio-control agents ready to be released onto your weeds.

BCW has been providing information and insects since 1986. We are committed to doing the best job we can to satisfy your needs. If you have any questions, please give us a call. We would be happy to go to work on your behalf. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
